What happened in Luv' land in 2024?

The former Luv' singers can count on platforms that are regularly updated:

  • On February 18th, RTL's streaming platform "Videoland" started to air "PATTY," a series based on Patty Brard's life. Marga Scheide, José Hoebee, and Hans van Hemert reacted to this series in the media as it mentioned the Luv' years.

  • With the assistance of Casper Janssen, Marga Scheide's solo singles ("Love Symphony" (1983), "Love Again" (1985), and "I'll Sing You A Song (He-Ho)" (1986) became available on major digital platforms (including Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify, YouTube & Deezer) on February 23rd.

  • Marga Scheide appeared at several public events with her friends, Dyon Hagenaars and Ger Valkenburg (from DC Models), and she gave several interviews in the Dutch tabloid press.

  • A photo of José Hoebee and Marga Scheide sparked curiosity among fans and gossip columnists. On April 23rd, they had dinner in 's-Hertogenbosch with former tour manager David Hay Gibson and Brigitte Vis, director of Jan Vis Entertainment. This moment was shared on the Official Luv' Facebook page. The image led to questions about a possible reunion, especially with Luv' back in the spotlight due to Patty's series. Shownieuws expert Bart Ettekoven noted that Marga and José's absence from the premiere of Patty's series raised eyebrows. After reaching out to Marga, it was confirmed that there would not be a reunion.

  • Despite a few interviews in the media, José Hoebee chose to lead a discreet life away from show business, surrounded by her family and friends.

  • Hans van Hemert, the father of Luv' and a maestro of Dutch pop music, passed away on October 7th. May Hans rest in peace.

  • In September 2024, Patty Brard formed a "Mega Meiden Groep" featuring former members of various girl groups for her "Panther Party" at the Ziggo Dome in March 2025. This event sparked speculation in the media about a possible reunion of Luv' with its original members. However, due to past tensions between Patty and her former Luv' colleagues, Marga and José, such a reunion is not expected to happen.

  • In October and November, the Dutch independent label "Hit It! Music" (run by Casper Janssen) released three nu-disco remixes on major digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, and Tidal. These remixes were created by the renowned Argentinian DJ, producer, and remixer Jonathan Douglas Braverman, better known as Ladies On Mars. The digital singles serve as a preview for the reissue of "All You Need Is Luv: Remastered & Expanded Edition", which will be available on CD and vinyl in 2025. The remixes include "Luv' Medley (Ladies On Mars Re-Touch Remix)," "Don't Stop Now (Ladies On Mars Remix)" and "Don't Stop Now (Ladies On Mars Extended Remix)".

  • Chimène van Oosterhout continued to write columns for WendyOnline, Wendy van Dijk's online platform focused on women's issues, and Wendy magazine. In addition, she attended red-carpet premieres and hosted various charity galas and public events. As a TV personality, she presented RTL 4's shows "Nederland Ontdekt" and "Cruise Life".

  • Ria Thielsch kept a low profile and enjoyed life with her family and friends.
