Next year, Patty Brard will turn seventy on March 25th, 2025. Earlier this year, the Prima Donna made a special announcement: she will celebrate her seventieth birthday with a "Panther Party" at the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome on March 14th, 2025. On September 19th, Patty revealed other good news about her prestigious party through social media, television appearances, and press coverage.
The diva has joined forces with seven other members of legendary Dutch girl groups to form a "Mega Meiden Groep" (Mega Girl Group).
In addition to Patty Brard (Luv'), this female supergroup consists of Esther Oosterbeek and Anita Heilker (of Dolly Dots), Marga Bult (of Babe), Jetty Weels and Carolien de Windt (of Mai Tai), Laura Vlasblom and Mandy Huyts (of Frizzle Sizzle). Once rivals in the 1980s, the ladies will perform a medley of their classic hits during La Brard's mega show at Ziggo Dome.

Recently, the ladies did a photo shoot with the images used to promote the Panther Party and featured in the September 21st edition of Vrouw magazine, a supplement to De Telegraaf, where Patty Brard served as guest editor-in-chief.

Patty watching a medley of the Dutch girl groups' hits
"I'm going to throw a big Panther Party on my seventieth birthday at the Ziggo Dome. Bit by bit, we reveal some things related to this show. One is the Mega Girl Group announcement, consisting of one or two members of each major Dutch female pop formation. Eight girls from five different groups. This is the Mega Meiden Groep, which will be performing at the Panther Party. Esther and Anita are, of course, part of it," Patty explained on "Tijd Voor Max".

"This is unique. It's a wonderful concept of the ladies who were part of this girl group circuit in the 1980s," Esther Oosterbeek said.

"We met each other a lot back then because there were more TV shows," Anita Heilker asserted.

"I don't celebrate my birthday this way every year. I've had seventy Christmas days. I hope to celebrate at least ten more in good shape. When you turn seventy, you have to make a party. Being seventy is different now from what it used to be. I remember when my grandma was this age. We are still on stage and busy with many other projects. So we need to commemorate it," Patty added.
The ex-SBS6 star also discussed her role as a guest editor-in-chief of Vrouw: "In the magazine, we also show normal women who are seventy. I'm not an exception. Women this age are busy and fit. They are very inspiring. Our Mega Girl Group is also part of this trend".
When asked how the two ex-Dolly Dots first reacted to Patty's plan to set up a supergroup and to the reunion with the other ladies, Anita answered: "When we first heard that Patty had this idea, we thought it was excellent, It's was a unique day. We are going to perform each other's songs, and that's so nice".
"When we did the photo shoot, it was the first time we were reunited in years. We had to make sure we would click. We harmonized together. Singing a Dolly Dots song with Mai Tai and Frizzle Sizzle was fun. We sounded good together," Patty declared.
"I hadn't seen Mai Tai since the 1980s. When they arrived, they looked the same. Of course, we all age. They are such charismatic ladies," Esther commented.
Patty could not help mentioning her former Luv' colleagues, Marga Scheide and José Hoebee, who are not on good terms with her: "They are welcome to the party. We still have jackets in their size".
