Marga & friends
After Michiel's death, Marga's friends have been a great comfort to the ex-Luv' girl. On July 20th, Marga and her loved ones (Silvia Moos, Dyon Hagenaars and Ger Valkenburg (from DC Models) and Cees van Veen) had a nice lunch at the Italian restaurant "Ferilli's Caffè" in Amsterdam.

Hans van Hemert in the media
The July 19th edition of De Telegraaf featured an article about Hans van Hemert's ill health in its Privé section. The legendary record producer, who wrote hit songs for many acts, including Luv', Mouth & MacNeal, Kamahl and André Hazes, has had prostate cancer for thirteen years. He was treated several times for his illness, including surgery.
His partner Willy Betist explained Hans' situation to De Telegraaf: "It has been manageable with medication for years. We've often travelled to Bali and France. Hans recently said: "What a good life we have!". But now everything is suddenly different. Last week, we were at the fair in Laren. He wanted to ride the Ferris wheel like a happy child. Then, he complained about muscle pain, but at our age, you always feel something, so he didn't pay much attention to it. The next day, he had a foot drop and could not sit or stand because of the pain. We immediately called the doctor, and then we were in the hospital. And then came the metastases. Not just one, but an explosion! Especially in his bones and stains on his lungs. New scans are still being made, but in the hospital in Nijmegen, doctors don't know what they see. They have never experienced this. The disease has spread rapidly".
“Hans accidentally put a photo of his hospitalization on Facebook when he wanted to send it to one particular person. He has since removed it, but questions arose. Hans is preparing for radiation and chemo. A PET scan should show this week how far the disease is now and what the first radiation treatments have done. Our lives are completely upside down. We want to go to our second home in France again. We'll do everything we can to make it come true," Willy added.
We wish Hans and Willy lots of courage.
De Telegraaf - July 19th, 2023
Following De Telegraaf's article, SBS6's infotainment news program Shownieuws broadcast an item about Hans van Hemert in its July 19th edition, which drew 507.000 viewers (market share: 25.4%). Patty Brard, who was on holiday in Ibiza, was briefly interviewed to discuss her former Pygmalion's situation. "He saw things that others could not see. He said: "We're going to record "The Greatest Lover". Sing "Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na". I need to go to the toilet, and when I'm back, I'll write lyrics for this song". When he came back, he listened to our singing and said: "I won't use words for it. I let "Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na". It became the greatest hit he did with us," Patty explained. "He was lost in music. He moved up the career ladder. He started as a stock boy at Phonogram and rapidly became a record producer. In his mind, he feels like a young man. I hope he will stay a long time with us," Patty added.

Chimène van Oosterhout back to the Netherlands after her heart failure in Greece
Earlier this month, Chimène van Oosterhout was admitted to the hospital in Athens, Greece, due to heart failure. The former Luv' singer and her friend, media personality Tanja Jess were on holiday on the Greek island of Kos when the incident occurred. Chimène's heart failure was caused by residual damage from chemotherapy. Then her health got a little better.
On July 16th, Tanja and Chimène shared a video of their return to the Netherlands on Instagram.
The ladies appeared on the July 21st edition of RTL 4's infotainment news program RTL Boulevard which attracted 511.000 viewers (market share: 19.1%).

"I'm better physically, but mentally it's getting worse. I've been back home for a week. I wonder what happened. It looks like a bad movie. I was kitesurfing, and I felt good. A couple of hours later, I had a drink, and I went back to the resort and started to feel unwell. I went back to my room and took a shower. We were supposed to have a disco party. We went downstairs, and I didn't feel well. Then I went back to my room, and I took paracetamol. I needed a doctor. I had heart failure. The same thing happened to me twenty years ago. An ambulance transported me to the other end of the island to a private hospital," Chimène said.
"Then Chimène had to go to the public hospital where the only cardiologist on the island was. The transportation between the private clinic and the public hospital went bad. She started to say her farewells to her loved ones as she was increasingly unconscious," Tanja explained.
"My heart was only working at 20%. Then the doctors did their best to get my heart working at 30%. Then I had to fly to Athens," Chimène added.
The multi-talented celebrity confirmed that chemotherapy was the reason for this ill health. She has to rest and cannot ride her horse or kitesurf.
