Interview with Carina Lemoine on RTV Seaport (October 26th)
Carina Lemoine was a member of Luv' between 1990 and 1992. On October 26th, she gave an interview on the Dutch local radio station, RTV Seaport. Among the subjects she discussed were her Luv' years. "I got in touch with Luv's manager, who was looking for a new member after Marga Scheide relaunched the group with new singers. I auditioned at Wisseloord Studios, where I recorded my first solo singles. Out of 1,000 girls, I was selected. Marga invited me to her home, but she didn't tell me I had been chosen at that moment. We went out on a boat, and the other girl, Diana van Berlo, was there too. We clicked right away. Then Marga said: "For your information, you're part of the group". I had to learn new songs and dance routines, and my first show with them was in Valkenburg, in front of an audience of 2,000. Marga told me: 'It was as if you've always been part of the group. You are made for this.' Singing is part of who I am. I truly feel at home on stage. I enjoyed performing with these two girls. It was a new experience," Carina explained. "We had a different repertoire, but during our public shows, we sang both old and new songs, which created a good mix. The fans were there no matter where we performed. We did many radio and TV shows, including a beautiful special that we filmed in Thailand, which you can still find on YouTube. I even travelled to Dubai and took part in the filming of a special in Sweden and Finland. It was a real professional endeavour. I flew on a plane for the first time when I was 21 to go to Dubai during the Gulf War. It was a different culture; we had to wear headscarves when we were outside. Dubai has changed a lot since then; it was not what it is today. We sang for the military there, and I will never forget it." Carina added. "I stayed with Luv' for two years, but it wasn't satisfying in the end. We were seeking a new direction, so I formed a new group with Diana called 'Lady's D.C.' We recorded several singles and appeared in music videos. We had great shows in Spain, performed during the Veronica summer tour for a while, and were featured in newspapers. We even sang during a boat cruise to England," Carina said.

Britt Kirchjunger and Hannah van Hemert honour Hans van Hemert and 60 Years of the Dutch Top 40 at Book Release Party (November 27th)
The Dutch Top 40 will celebrate its 40th anniversary on January 2nd. On November 14th, Godfried Nevels published a book titled "60 Jaar Top 40: De Verhalen Achter de Hits - Deel 1: 1965 - 1984". Parts 2 and 3 are scheduled for release in the summer and fall of 2025, respectively. Among the interviewees in Part 1 is Hans van Hemert, who passed away on October 7th. The book's release party, hosted by Erik de Zwart, took place at the Wisseloord studios in Hilversum, the Netherlands, on November 27th. Hans' daughter, Britt, and granddaughter, Hannah, were present at the presentation. When Erik de Zwart asked them if they realized the impact Hans had as an artist and record producer, Hannah replied: "Not directly. I was born in 2000, and his heyday was before my time. However, he shared many stories, and I learned a lot from them". Britt added: "I remember we were here to celebrate his birthday twenty years ago with Luv'".
Luv' in MAX Magazine (December 7th)
The December 7th issue of MAX Magazine featured a short article about Luv'. The article highlighted that Luv's 1980 single "My Number One" was Hans van Hemert's favourite song by the group. This track was not recorded by Patty Brard, who had left the group several months before its release. La Brard is the former Luv' singer who is the most active in showbiz today. She will celebrate her seventieth birthday with a "Panther Party" at the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome on March 14th, 2025. The show will feature performances by Roxeanne Hazes, Anita Meyer, Dowe Bob, and Richard Groenendijk as Jopie Parlevliet. Additionally, Patty will collaborate with seven other members of legendary Dutch girl groups to form a “Mega Meiden Groep” (Mega Girl Group). This female supergroup will include Patty Brard (Luv'), Esther Oosterbeek and Anita Heilker (of Dolly Dots), Marga Bult (of Babe), Jetty Weels and Carolien de Windt (of Mai Tai), as well as Laura Vlasblom and Mandy Huyts (of Frizzle Sizzle). Once rivals in the 1980s, these ladies will perform a medley of their classic hits during Patty Brard's mega show.
