Patty in Weekend: "No more luxury for me"
The November 1st issue of Weekend magazine featured Patty Brard on the cover and an interview with the larger-than-life media personality. Click here to read the interview online.
The diva discussed the Videoland series based on her life, which is currently in production. When asked about her reaction to José Hoebee's recent comments on the series, she answered: "Let everybody watch it before criticizing it. Spreading lies? A drama series is a series which is dramatized. That says it all. So, it might take some liberties with reality. I don't care about what she thinks. I think Marga Scheide was kinder and was curious about the series. I offered her my condolences after her partner, Michiel, passed away. I've been through many things with Marga, but in times of trouble, you have to settle your differences".
The ex-Luv' singer, who has launched lucrative collections of panther-print items in association with Kruidvat since early 2020, strangely mentioned her declining purchasing power. "We no longer get fresh orange juice and salad from the greengrocer because prices are so high! Life has become very expensive. I don't think all costs are normal anymore these days. A full tank now costs between 80 and 100 euros! I want an electric car, but on the other hand, it should be possible. We just got a new house; we got another house in Ibiza," she said.
