Television was Patty Brard's major source of income for years. For a long time, the former Luv' singer has depended on executives' decisions to end or extend her exclusive contracts on TV.
After she did not renew her deal with Talpa TV in March, the diva was strangely not sad, unlike in 2011 and 2017 when SBS6 did not consider her "fresh and fruity anymore". During her last exclusive contract with Talpa (2019-2023), all of her TV shows (6 Inside, Zo Goed Als Nieuw, Dancing On Ice, Patty en Gordon op zoek naar de eeuwige jeugd and De Grote Huisverbouwing) were disappointing in terms of viewing figures. Only SBS6's infotainment program "Shownieuws", where she regularly appeared as a showbiz expert, saved the day. The larger-than-life TV personality lost her Midas Touch on the small screen.
However, since early 2020, La Brard has reinvented herself and wisely multiplied partnerships with Kruidvat, a Dutch pharmacy and drugstore chain specialising in health and beauty products and household items. Her "From PB with love" collections, including panther-print items, were popular. "Pritty", the jewellery line developed with her daughter Priscilla Nasi, was another success. Recently, Patty launched a skincare line, "PB Beauty", in association with Kruidvat.
These clever deals with Kruidvat have made Miss Brard's future brighter. The larger-than-life celebrity takes advantage of social media, particularly Instagram and TikTok, to promote her products.
