Music, led by Casper Janssen, and the Official Luv' Facebook Fan Page proudly announce the release of "You're The Greatest Lover (Ladies on Mars Re-Construction Mix)" on major digital platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, and Tidal on January 17th.
This remix, created by the Argentinian DJ/producer/remixer Jonathan Douglas Braverman, known as "Ladies On Mars", is a modern take on Luv's iconic song "You're The Greatest Lover". This remix follows three previous releases: "Luv' Medley (Ladies On Mars Re-Touch Remix)", "Don't Stop Now (Ladies On Mars Remix)", and "Don't Stop Now (Ladies On Mars Extended Remix)". All four remixes serve as previews for the upcoming reissue of "All You Need Is Luv: Remastered & Expanded Edition" which will be available on CD and vinyl later this year.
The original version of "You're The Greatest Lover", written by Hans van Hemert and Piet Souer, was released on July 15th, 1978, by Philips/Phonogram Records and marked Luv's international breakthrough hit. This catchy track topped the charts in the Netherlands (where it achieved platinum status with 150,000 copies sold), Belgium, Germany (where it received Gold certification for 650,000 copies sold), Switzerland, and Spain. It also peaked at #2 on the Austrian singles chart, #21 on the SNEP singles chart in France (with 67,000 copies sold), #26 in Finland, #19 in Israel, and #15 in South Africa.
In early 1979, Billboard Benelux magazine announced that the single had sold 1 million copies worldwide.

It's worth noting that Ladies On Mars did not use the original vocals for his remix of "You're The Greatest Lover", as Hit It! Music does not hold the copyright for the master tape, part of Hans van Hemert's back catalogue. Instead, he used a re-recording of the pop classic that was included in the 1994 medley, which appeared on the original edition of "All You Need Is Luv'".
